How it works, what you get, limits
What it does
See whether a photo has GPS and camera tags, then download a copy without location.
How to use
Pick an image, read the fields, then export. The file on disk is not overwritten.
What you get
The list is read-only. Only the downloaded JPEG has GPS removed.
Options and comparison
Preview and “export without GPS” are separate so viewing is not mistaken for deletion.
Social apps often strip metadata again, but not always. Removing it yourself before you leave is safer.
Limits
PNG/WebP tags vary. Encrypted or damaged files fail with a reason.
FAQ
Does viewing change the original?
No. The file on disk stays. Only the download has GPS removed.
Do PNG files always have GPS?
No. PNG/WebP often have few tags; the page says when common fields are missing.
